PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a picked up image be at a standstill in a nonshaking state. SOLUTION: An angular velocity signal detected by an angular velocity sensor 1 detecting a shaking state of a video camera (image pickup device) not shown in the figure is supplied to a high band-pass filter 2, and the angular velocity signal Shpf from which the low band component is removed is supplied to a coring value Sc operation part 3. Then, this coring value Sc and the angular speed signal Shpf are supplied to a coring part 4, and a prescribed cored signal Scor is integrated by an integration filter 5, and an angular deformation signal due to e.g. the blurring of the video camera is formed. This angular deformation signal is compensated in the gain or the phase of the signal by a characteristic compensation filter 6, and further, this characteristic compensated angular deformation signal is inputted to the movement block of the image pickup image consisting of a prism control part 7, a prism 7 and a prism vertical angle sensor 9, and the image pickup image is moved so as to cancel e.g. the blurring of the video camera. |
