PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR device having an EGR valve to allow opening and closing with sufficient force in a very short time, and to be electrically operated. SOLUTION: An EGR device 11 has a valve assembly 25 with a valve stem 29 and an input stem 31, and an actuator part 85 to move the valve assembly 25 between an opened position and a closed position. The actuator part 85 contains an electric motor 47 for generating rotational output of low torque and high speed in a motor output shaft 51 fitted with a motor pinion gear 53. The rotational output of low torque and high speed generated in the motor 47 is converted into rotational output of high torque and low speed transmitted to the valve assembly 25 by a gear train. The rotational output of high torque and low speed is converted into axial direction movement of an input stem 31 by a link means comprising a cylindrical protrusion 83 or the like. |
