摘要 Soldering of optical devices is achieved without contact, in which the interior of the fastening parts of the optical elements is sealed in a completely airtight fashion preventing humidity from penetrating into the optical elements. A device for fastening optical elements by soldering without contact comprises: (a) at least two optical elements (26, 28), the inside of each comprising optical systems and the outside of each surrounded by casings (30, 32); (b) an alignment device (22, 24) which fixes one end of each of the optical elements (26, 28) and aligns their optical systems; (c) sources of laser radiation (10a, 10b) arranged respectively at the ends of the casings (30, 32) and generating laser beams (12a, 12b) that are not focussed on the outer surface of the casings (30, 32); (d) units (14a, 14b) for delivering lead (16a, 16b) to the laser beams (12a, 12b), to solder the casings (30, 32) to each other; and (e) a control device (40) for controlling the laser sources (10a, 10b) and the units (14a, 14b) for delivering the lead. An Independent claim is included for a method using this device for fastening optical elements together.
