Translucent and metallized key

The translucent and metallized rubber key has a base body (1) of a hardened and translucent key. A layer (2) of translucent colored dye is sprayed or printed on the key body, to be covered by a translucent protective layer (3). A metal film (4) is applied to the protective layer (3) by vacuum deposition, and a letter of the alphabet or a symbol (5) is engraved in the metal film by laser engraving. A second protective layer (6) is applied to cover the metal film (4) and the letter/symbol (5) to give a complete translucent and metallized key.
