The combustion chamber (3) can be fed with fuel from above and is limited at the bottom by a disc grate (4) comprising several fireproof discs (5). The discs are so arranged that fuel embers (20) in the combustion chamber locate on a part area of the face surface of the fireproof discs. The discs are rotatably arranged and during operation of the stove combustion residues and possibly fuel impurities are transported into an ash chamber (37) beneath the combustion chamber. A longitudinal central axis of the flame tube (7) runs inclinedly to an original flame direction (42) of a flame coming from the combustion chamber. An opening for secondary air (19) is arranged directly at the mouth of the flame tube (7) in the combustion chamber (3).
