Plug connector for connecting a component to a circuit board

A plug connector includes a spring contact element which penetrates a corrosion protective coating on a contact region of an electrical assembly on plugging the assembly into the contact element. A plug connector, for electrical and/or mechanical connection between a circuit board and an electrical assembly having a contact region with a corrosion protective coating, includes a spring contact element with one or more insertion sections which penetrate the contact region coating on plugging the assembly into the contact element. Independent claims are also included for (i) an electrical connector structure with the above plug connector; and (ii) a method of electrically connecting an electrical component, especially a circuit board, with a plug connector by forming a coating on one or more contact faces of the component and fitting the plug connector to the component to cause penetration of the coating by a spring contact element.
