The carbon brush holder (10) has at least one brush guide (14) for the carbon brush (16), acted on by a spring element in the form of a rolled spring band (18). It is attached to a spring holder (22) via a welded connection. The rolled spring band may be secured to the spring holder via point welding at 2 or more discrete points which are spaced apart along the longitudinal direction of the spring band.
