VALVE ASSEMBLY

A valve assembly (28, 30) for an air mattress (10) having a common actuator(226) on a manifold (200) between opposed supply and exhaust valves (238, 240) moving the valves (238, 240) along actuating axes. The system includes a plurality of actuator/valve combinations for different portions of the air mattress (10). A pulsating valve (56) is provided which includes a housing(330) having therein supply and exhaust valves (352, 354) each directly controlled by supply and exhaust solenoids.
