PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent with excellent adsorbability and to make it possible to recycle it by a method wherein an artificial zeolite obtd. by mixing fly ash with an alkali water soln. and heating the mixture at a specified temp. is mixed with a Ca compd. and the mixture is molded into a granulated shape. SOLUTION: Fly ash selected from ones with fine particle diameters is reacted with an NaOH water soln. (a normality of 2.5-3.5 N) at about 90 deg.C for a specified hr. Thereafter, it is reacted with calcium chloride CaCl2 for a specified hr. to substitute Ca for Na. Then, after it is washed with water, the powder is dried to form a Ca type artificial zeolite. In order to adsorb hydrogen chloride gas in exhaust gas, a Ca compd., e.g., calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 , etc., is added to the Ca type artificial zeolite. After both compd. are mixed, the mixture is molded into particulate or columnar shapes with an org. or inorg. binder. It is possible thereby to obtain enough adsorbability for removing dioxines for this adsorbent even through the manufacturing cost is inexpensive.
|
