PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification method quickly, simply identifying MRC-NS by reacting a part of an exogenous insertion DNA supporting mec A gene existing on the chromosome of MRC-NS and a base sequence of the DNA surrounding them with a sample. SOLUTION: The MRSA(methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus) or MRCNS(methicillin-resistant coagulase-negativestaphylococci) are quickly, simply identified by using a part of the mec DNA which is the exogenous insertion DNA supporting mec A gene and existing on the chromosome of MRC-NS or MRSA and a part of the base sequence of the chromosome DNA surrounding the insertion DNA with a specimen DNA obtained by transmutation with a reverse transcriptase of RNA extracted from staphylococcus or a specimen RNA obtained by amplification of the RNA.
