PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an artificial stone material having uniform property, high strength, excellent weather resistance and durability and good appearance by kneading the mixture of an inorg. powder material, silica cement and water in vacuum and hardening. SOLUTION: Since the silica cement has a short hardening time and is hardened before the inorg. powder material uniformly dispersed by vacuum kneading again is aggregated according to the difference in the specific gravity, the artificial stone material with homogeneous properties can be produced without inhomogeneity of the inorg. powder material. As for the inorg. powder material, glass particles can be used. Since glass particles have reflection property for light and variety of colors, the obtd. artificial stone has excellent appearance, and also by processing glass particles into spheres, wounds to the stone can be prevented. By controlling the mixing ratio of the glass particles to the silica cement to 2:1 to 3:1, the obtd. artificial stone shows homogeneous properties with uniform dispersion of the glass particles. The particle size of the glass particles is preferably 0.1 to 8 mm. |
