PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the gear position without an error by including a second contact element and a contact element for grounding which come into contact with one of plural first elements. SOLUTION: This device includes a gear box switch GPS, a second contact element (contact for current application), an element for grounding (contact for grounding) 21, and a control unit. Plural different resistances R1-R5 corresponding to plural speed change gears of multistage transmission are mounted on a board of the GPS, and first contacts 26, 26a-26d for first speed to fifth speed are respectively wire-connected to the resistances R1-R5. In this arrangement, in the case of detecting the gear position, when a gear shaft cam is turned in a designated degree to perform gear shift, a current application contact is brought into contact with one of the contacts 26, 26a-26d of the GPS corresponding to the above gear shifting, a signal of an A/D converter 33 is given, and the signal is processed. At this time, as the resistance value varies with the gear position, the voltage of the A/D converter 33 is changed. |
