PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wear of a guide roller and a groove roller. SOLUTION: By running a wire 14 with fixed abrasive grains from one side wire reel 12A toward the other wire reel 12B, before cutting start of an ingot 24, the abrasive grains of a contact part between the guide rollers 18A, 18B and the wire 14 with fixed abrasive grains are removed. Thereafter, as the guide rollers 18A, 18B and a group roller 20 can guide the wire 14 with fixed abrasive grains at the surface with no abrasive grains, any wear is reduced. |
