PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the ecesis of microorganism on surfaces of roots of a plant to increase the resistance against soil disease damages and thereby enable the yield increase by culturing the plant on a support comprising a specific amount of a specific urea-formaldehyde condensate (synthetic intermediate) and a specific amount of a microorganism belonging to the genus Pseudomonas. SOLUTION: A support such as culture soil for raising seedlings is prepared by compounding a urea-formaldehyde condensate (synthetic intermediate) expressed by the formula [X is H or CH2 OH; Y is NHCONH2 or OH; (n) is an integer >=1] in an amount of 0.001-20% and a microorganism belonging to the genus Pseudomonas such as Pseudomonas cepacia or Pseudomonas fluorescens at a concentration of >=10<2> microorganisms/g. A plant such as rice, wheat or melon is cultured on the support to make the plant have the ecesic microorganism on surfaces of the roots. |
