PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a mold which can form a slit groove smoothly without retaining grinding dust even when a circular thin blade grindstone having a thickness of 150μm or less is used. SOLUTION: A method is to make a mold having a supply hole 4 for supplying materials and a slit groove 2 formed to communicate with the hole 4. A metal raw material 10 having a groove forming surface 11 and a hole working surface 14 on the outside and inside is prepared. The supply hole 4 is formed from the surface 14. Next, when the slit groove is formed, the metal raw material 10 is set on a working base 5 having a vacuum chamber 51 and the hole working surface 14 is arranged to face the chamber 51. Next, while the pressure of the chamber 51 is being reduced, the groove forming surface 11 is ground with a circular thin blade grindstone 7 having a thickness of 150 micron or less.
