The rear fastener for securing the plough to the side of the vehicle is linked to the plough via a folding arrangement of an arm, hydraulic cylinder and intermediate piece, all pivotably connected to each other. The plough (1) is secured to the side of the vehicle (2) using front and rear fasteners (5,12). A collapsible projection arrangement (13) is used to move the plough towards and away from the vehicle in a horizontal direction. The rear fastener (12) comprises a vertical beam fixed to the vehicle, a horizontal arm attached to the beam by a link that only allows rotation in a vertical direction, and a hydraulic cylinder connected by an articulated joint to the beam at one end and by an articulated joint to the arm at the opposite end. The projection arrangement comprises a folding arm (14), an intermediate piece (15) and a hydraulic cylinder (20). The folding arm is joined to the plough at one end via a first link (16) and to the intermediate piece via a second link (18) at the opposite end. A third link (42) is used to join the intermediate piece to the rear fastener arm. All three links allow rotation in a horizontal direction. The position of the folding arm and intermediate piece, and therefore the angle of the plough, are altered using the hydraulic cylinder in the projection arrangement, which is pivotably connected to the plough at one end, and pivotably connected to the folding arm and/or intermediate piece at the opposite end. |
