PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce torque pulsaes caused by variation in magnetic permeance or cogging torque due to winding slot in a permanent magnet electric rotating machine. SOLUTION: Data on torque pulse caused by variation in magnetic permeance or cogging torque due to winding slots in a stator core, is stored in a torque pulse storage device 13. The torque pulse data is read through a torque pulse cancel signal creating circuit 12 to create a torque pulse cancel signal. Then, the torque pulse cancel signal is used to correct a torque command. As a result since-wave current passed through stator winding 3 is corrected so that torque pulse due to the winding sots or cogging torque is reduced.
