PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weaving inspection device which can discriminate the normal/abnormal state of the weaving state of an inspected object which is a wound body of a sheet material with high accuracy by performing automatic inspections, based on transmitted X-ray images. SOLUTION: A weaving inspection device is provided with a wound layer position detecting means 30 which detects the position of each transmitted wound layer image corresponding to each wound layer of a sheet material in transmitted X-ray images in the arranging direction X and an assumed-edge detecting means 32 which detects the assumed edge of the transmitted image of each wound layer detects the assumed edge of the transmitted image of each wound layer in the length direction Y. The inspection device is also provided with a front end continuity evaluating means 33 which detects the real position of the front end of each wound layer from the continuity between the assumed edges of adjacent wound layers in the transmitted images of the wound layers as a real edge detecting means.
