The invention relates to a vane unit for use in windmills or various propellers, which vane unit 1 comprises a shaft 3 provided with vane elements 2. In the vane unit according to the invention the shaft 3 has at least two vane elements 2 at a distance from one another in the axial direction of the shaft 3, the vane elements each comprising at least one blade 2a, 2b.
