PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user about the temperature state of a unit at the time of exchanging a fixing device by providing the fixing device with a thermosensitive color changing member whose color is changed by sensing heat. SOLUTION: A pair of knobs 201 and 202 is provided at the part of the fixing device 30 facing to a front cover 60. The thermosensitive color changing members (thermo paper) 203 and 204 whose color is changed by sensing the heat are stuck to the upper parts of the knobs 201 and 202. The members 203 and 204 show white at <=40 deg.C, and turn red at the time of exceeding 40 deg.C. A notice showing 'please exchange the unit when this mark turns white' is recorded at the part of the device 30 positioned near the members 203 and 204. Namely, when the members 203 and 204 show red and the device 30 is in a high-temperature state, a user is prevented from touching the knobs 201 and 202. |
