The blower consists of a tube (6) of a lightweight and non-degradable material which is inserted through a hole in the mask and enables the wearer to blow out a stream of air to clear dust from a work-piece surface. The outer end of the blower is cut at an angle and fitted with a non-return valve (7) in the form of a disc on a strip hinge which is closed during normal use and opens when air is blown through the tube. The tube is easily taken between the lips of the mask wearer and is made from a sufficiently light and supple material to prevent any harm from abrupt contact with the face.
