PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the quantity of movement of a slider by aligning the bottom surface position of a vibrating body comprising an elastic body having a bottom surface at one end face of a square cylinder to the position of a knot of the vibrating body comprising a square cylindrical elastic body. SOLUTION: At both end portions of an elastic body A13 made of a square cylindrical elastic body, a vibrating body B14 and a vibrating body C15 made of an elastic body each having a bottom face at one end portion respectively and a length equal to one-half of that of the elastic body A are jointed and fixed at the bottom face side to the elastic body A13. By doing this, when electric signals in an ultrasonic region are applied to piezoelectric elements 2a, 2c, 4a, 4c, 5b, 5d or the like of the first group and to piezoelectric elements 3a, 3c, 5a, 5c or the like of the second group respectively, the vibrating body 1 creates the vibration of both the expansion mode in length direction and square cylindrical alternating switching curvature mode at the same time and compound resonance is resulted. Thus, the slider 11 moves linearly in the longitudinal direction, and its movement is regulated by the vibrating bodies C15, B14. |
