摘要 The gas powered IC engine has a pressure regulator (28) in the fuel line between the fuel tank (12) and the fuel injector (32) downstream of the throttle valve (38). A failure mode program compares the response of the fuel pressure sensor to fluctuations in inlet manifold pressure with programmed responses for an immediate detection of failure of the fuel pressure sensor. A fuel pressure sensor (54) between the pressure regulator and the injector and a pressure sensor (62) in the inlet manifold downstream of the throttle valve are connected to the processor control. The pressure regulator maintains the pressure difference between the fuel inlet line and the inlet manifold.
