In a circuit with a surface-mounted device (SMD) having two contacts connected to substrate conductor lines, each formed of a metal/glass layer produced by heating a metal containing glass particles for melting or softening the glass particles. Independent claims are also included for (1) a temperature sensor with a thermistor element which has contacts as described above; (2) a process for producing the above temperature sensor; and (3) a process for producing a conductive connection between a contact of a SMD component and a substrate conductor line by applying a metal paste containing glass particles onto the component surface, contacting the resulting contact with the conductor line, heating to melt or soften the glass particles and then cooling.
