The fixing element (1) has a base part (2) for securing to a thin-walled wall and a head part (3) for reception of the plug connector, the base part having bearing plate with a central rectangular pin fitting through a rectangular opening in the wall. The pin has two diagonally opposite angled corner edges with a depth corresponding to the wall thickness.
