Traverses (9) with hook-shaped noses (7, 7a) engage with cavities (5) in groove profiles (4) extending in the length direction of vertical stands or supports (1). Separate pockets (6) form the traverse noses, which also act as couplings for receiving the ends of the traverses. Preferably the pockets are U-shaped and contain a support plate facing downwards in the direction of engagement. Holes are located in the pocket side flanges. A support plate (6) is located on the front end of the bottom pocket side flange. Movement of the engaged top pocket nose (7a) is restricted by catches (20) in the grooves.
