PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for molding a green tire for efficiently molding the tire with excellent uniformity by facilitating initial synchronization of extrusion of a rubber extruded material with rotation of a drum for molding the tire. SOLUTION: In the method for molding a green tire comprising the steps of extruding a strip 3 of unvulcanized rubber from an extruder 4, winding the strip 3 plural times on a periphery of the drum 1 while synchronizing with rotation of the drum 1 and molding a tire constituting member, a valve 7 is provided at a discharge unit 5 of the extruder 4, the valve 7 is previously closed at the time of starting molding, the valve 7 is opened at the time of arriving an extruding pressure of the extruder 4 at a predetermined pressure, and closed at the time of completing the winding of the tire constituting member. |
