<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact image-forming apparatus which can form high- quality images even when an optical system having a field curvature aberration is used. SOLUTION: Four image carrier bodies 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d are arranged at positions 23a, 23b, 23c, 23d where diameters of four light beams in a main scan direction at surfaces of the bodies respectively become not larger than 1.1 times a minimum beam diameter adjusted by an optical system. An image deterioration due to a shift of a focal position in the main scan direction of light beams resulting from a field curvature aberration of a collimator lens 6 is prevented accordingly.</p> |
