BLEACHING POWDER COMPOSITION CONSISTING ESSENTIALLY OF CHLORINATED ISOCYANURIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bleaching powder composition having a low dissolution rate and sustaining effects for a long time when used for a septic tank or wastewater treatment, etc. SOLUTION: This bleaching powder composition is obtained by formulating an organic bleaching powder consisting essentially of a chlorinated isocyanuric acid with at least one compound having a surface-active function. The compound having the surface-active function is an anionic surfactant represented by a polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfate, a nonionic surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene- polyoxypropylene copolymer, a sorbitan fatty acid ester or a glycerol fatty acid ester, a cellulose derivative and a polyvinyl alcohol derivative. The amount of the formulated compound having the surface-active function is 0.1-20 wt.% based on the organic bleaching powder.
