PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacture costs of an air bag device by mounting a cover body on a base plate easily and firmly. SOLUTION: An air bag device is constituted by mounting a cover body 12, an air bag 15 and an inflator 16 to a base plate 11. The base plate 11 is integrally formed by die-cast forming. A cover body mounting part 22 is formed at the outer periphery of a base part 21 of the base plate 11. On the cover body mounting part 22, an inner piece part 26 and an outer piece part 27 are formed for holding a mounting wall part 52 of the air bag 15 between them. The inner piece part 26 and the outer piece part 27 are connected together by a connecting piece part 28. A lock part 29 is protruded from the inner piece part 26. On the mounting wall part 52, a connection part insertion groove 55 to which the connecting piece part 28 is inserted and a lock receiving part 56 to be engaged with the lock part 29 are formed. |
