<p>A container for dispensing liquids comprises a body member (2) and a closure (6) for the body member (2), the closure (6) including a cap (8) in the form of a plastic moulding having an outlet (12) in a sidewall thereof, and a control valve (22) within the cap (8) for controlling the dispensing of liquid through the outlet (12), the control valve (22) being in the form of a one piece plastic moulding conveniently integrally moulded with the cap (8) and having a diaphragm portion (26) and a nose portion (28), the central axis of the valve (22) being substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow of liquid from the body member (2) to the closure (6), the nose portion (28) of the valve (22) normally sealing the outlet (12) but being displaceable therefrom on distortion of the diaphragm portion (28) resulting from pressurisation of the interior of the body member (2) and whereby liquid is dispensed through the outlet (12).</p> |
