The gear has a rigid bearing ring (1) with a cylindrical bearing surface (2) having a larger circumferential length than an outer casing surface (7) of a radially flexible bushing (5). One or more of the circumferential sections of the outer casing surface are held by several transmission elements (32). The elements are in a continuously changing and non-slip mesh with the bearing surface of the bearing ring, by a drive core (20) rotatably driven inside the bushing by a drive shaft (14). The transmission elements are formed of radial circle segments of equal length which support the bushing. The segments have radial exteriors lying flat against one another and radially movable towards one another.
