PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of clients coupled with a plurality of medium servers through a network to decide the transferring speed of medium files from the medium servers to the clients in stead of the medium servers. SOLUTION: When one client 16 requests part of a video clip to a medium server 12 through a network, a file system 34 is asynchronously accessed and the requested part of the video clip is retrieved from a storing medium 36. The file 34 asynchronously transmits part of the video clip at every medium frame at once. The medium frame is transmitted to a requesting client from the medium frame at a local clock speed through the network in the form of a network packet. |
