PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically decide the temporary position of parts which is defined by three-dimensional CAD information. SOLUTION: A temporary placement reference bed deciding device 3 decides a temporary reference floor for specifying floor parts being nearest to the parts in the lower direction of their placement position with respect to the parts which are selected from assembling object parts stored in a three- dimensional CAD data storage device 1. Moreover, a temporary reference position deciding device 4 decides the temporary reference position of the parts on the reference floor. Optimizing devices 9 and 10 decides the temporary position by moving the temporary reference position so as to eliminate interference when the temporary parts arranged in the temporary position interfere with other parts, other temporary parts, or the action range of a worker at the time of working in the collation with a process plan. The decided temporary position is stored in a data storage device 5. The temporary position is interactively corrected by an interactive correcting device 11.
