PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power system controller for determining the level of an abnormality occurred in a power system and taking an accurate countermeasure depending on the level thus determined. SOLUTION: An abnormality decision unit 10 receives information S1 concerning to the state of an apparatus from a sensor 4 provided for each apparatus, and operational information S2 concerning to the operational state of a protective relay from a protector 6, compares the level of an abnormality with a reference level and decides which of a failure level, a heavy abnormal level, a light abnormal level or a normal level the abnormality level belongs to. In case of the heavy abnormal level, an emergency apparatus stop unit 20 emergency stops the relevant apparatus thus preventing the failure. In case of the failure level, an automatic failure recovery unit 40 recovers the failure such that the power interruption range is minimized. Since the failure level is determined totally using the operational information S2 from the protector 6 and the machine state information S1 from the sensor 4, the failure can be determined accurately and a countermeasure can be taken quickly without causing any disturbance. |
