<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot line insertion and pull out system for a hard disk device that uses a standard connector. SOLUTION: A sequence for detecting that a hard disk device of a CPU fails is indicated on a flow chart. That is, when the CPU accesses the hard disk device, it judges whether a reply returns or not within a fixed time from the hard disk device (12) and it is completed when the answer is YES. When the hard disk device outputs an error status to the CPU (13), or when an answer of a step 12 is NO, the CPU determines that an abnormality occurs to the hard disk device and disconnects a power source of the hard disk device.</p> |
