<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the effective communication by sending data based on the host information on the opposite party that is contained in a link table of one of both hosts connected to an ad hoc LAN(local area network) when the data are transferred between them. SOLUTION: The hosts 100 to 104 hold the information on them connected to an ad hoc LAN 130 in the form of link tables which contain the host names, connected communication media, IP addresses, data link layer addresses and entry effective times. A communication medium 110, for example, notifies the information on the hosts connected to the medium 110 to each other via the link tables of the hosts 100 to 102. These hosts 100 to 102 notify their link tables to each other by means of the fixed and random timers. Thus, the link table transmitting host is randomized and the duplicate transmission of link tables can be evaded. Meanwhile, a communication medium 120 also shares the link tables between the hosts 103 and 104. Thus, the data are transmitted via the link tables.</p> |
