PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance producibility by facilitating the finding and repair of a solder bridge generated, when a surface mount connector is to be mounted on a board. SOLUTION: A surface mount connector includes a housing 2 and a contact 3 installed in the housing 2, wherein the contact 3 has a contacting part 3a for contacting the connector as a mating party, a lead part 3b to be connected with a board 9, and a coupling part 3c for coupling the part 3a with the lead 3. That part of the lead 3b on the side with the coupling part 3c is provided with a folded part 3d having a large radius of curvature, and thereby the part 3e of lead 3b, except for the folded part 3d, is substantially positioned outside more than the side face of the connector housing 2. |
