PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make usable means of transportation with a simple device without being perplexed by attaching a wireless transmitter to a means of transportation, which transmits a signal when entering a station, and allowing a portable wireless receiver, where destination-specific information is stored, to inform a user of the time to get off and get on. SOLUTION: When a train enters a platform, a transmitter transmits a T code for each line of the train, which is received with an antenna 4 of a pager 2, and the reception signal is supplied to a receiving part 6. The receiving part 6 selectively decodes a radio signal of assigned frequency, and a decoder 8 collates the code of a given signal with T code stored in a RAM in advance, and if agreement is found, a control part 12 is activated for outputting code reception to a display part 14, etc. A user gets on an in-coming train according to the output of the pager 2. Approaching a transfer point or getting-off point, the transmitter transmits S code for each destination station, which is received with the pager 2 to know a destination station, thus getting off the train without hesitation. Therefor, the user reaches a destination station promptly. |
