PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device which suppresses the generation of short circuits in an organic electroluminescent element when it is covered with sealing resin and stably emits light for a long time. SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element 10 having a luminescent layer 13 using at least an organic material is formed between a hole injection electrode 11 and an electron injection electrode 15 on a substrate 1, and the electroluminescent element 10 is covered with sealing resin 30 to form an organic electroluminescent device. An inorganic protection film 20 for protecting the organic electroluminescent element 10 is formed between the organic electroluminescent element 10 and the sealing resin 30. |
