A barely inflammable to unburnable composite panel is produced from a non-extrudable core mixture with a pourable, unburnable filling material and a binder, and cover webs elastically bonded to the core on both sides. For a continuous production of the composite panel in one operation, the core mixture is poured onto an incoming cover web in contact with a lower adhesive film (16) directed towards the core mixture and a pouring cone extending over the entire width of the adhesive film is formed there, both are drawn continuously and uniformly through a wedge gap and compressed there for the first time and sized to thickness, an upper adhesive film delimiting the precompressed core mixture at the top is supplied and contacted with a continuously fed cover web and, with further compression, the sandwich is pressed, heated, cooled and cut to length to the final size of the composite panel. The device for carrying out the process preferably comprises a double belt press for final pressing and heating, for maintaining the temperature and for cooling.
|
