FIELD: pump manufacture. SUBSTANCE: diaphragm pump includes displacement chamber with valve and movable rod. Displacement chamber is restricted by cylindrical housing and flexible diaphragm secured to it by its peripheral portion. Rod may perform axial motion relative to housing. Apertural disc is rigidly joined with rod and it is inserted to housing at side of displacement chamber. Mean portion of diaphragm is secured to outer ring of apertural disc. Central portion of diaphragm closes apertures of disc and it has through axial opening outside Apertural zone of disc. Excess pressure of pumped fluid created in displacement chamber at motion of rod presses central portion of diaphragm away from disc apertures and fluid is displaced to zone behind diaphragm. Pressing away effort remains constant (without taking into account counterpressure) along the whole length of rod motion. It prevents fluid overflowing at pumping and at suction.
