<p>Method for identifying an allele by detecting polymorphisms comprises: (a) preparing single-stranded nucleic acid molecules corresponding in sequence to the portion of the allele containing the target polymorphisms; (b) labelling the single-stranded nucleic acid molecules; immobilising oligonucleotide probes, each specific for a known polymorphism, on a support; and (c) detecting fully complementary duplexes formed between the labelled single-stranded nucleic acid molecules and the immobilised probes.</p> |
