<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a negative pressure in a vacuum servo until a next brake operation by restraining the negative pressure in the vacuum servo from dropping upon brake release. SOLUTION: Upon depression of a brake pedal (S6), a vacuum pressure in a vacuum servo upon brake release is estimated from a negative pressure of engine intake air (S7 to S9), a degree of brake stroke and a vacuum pressure in the vacuum servo (S1). When a vacuum pressure upon manipulation of the brake release is lower than a threshold value (S12), the combustion is changed over from stratified combustion into homogeneous combustion (S13, S14).</p> |
