PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which is excellent in printing sensitivity, and printing image quality, prevents a printing curl, an environmental curl and a printing registration slip from arising, and in addition, is excellent in a scratch resistance of the acceptor layer by correcting a lack of cushioning property for the thermal transfer image receiving sheet wherein the acceptor layer is formed by coating a powder coating composition containing a resin having a dye dyeing property, on a base material of a plain paper. SOLUTION: For this thermal transfer image receiving sheet, the coating amount of the acceptor layer is made 6 g/m<2> or higher and 22 g/m<2> or lower, and in addition, the central line average roughness Ra on the surface of the acceptor layer is made 1.2 μm or lower, and the mirror surface gloss on the surface of the acceptor layer is adjusted to an appropriate range wherein Gs 45 deg. is 10% or lower, and thus, a favorable printing capability is realized without spoiling the quality-feeling like an ordinary paper. In addition, by adjusting the moisture content to an appropriate range of 3.0 wt.% or higher and 8.0 wt.% or lower, and also, by forming a rear surface layer on the opposite surface from a surface where the acceptor layer is formed, of a base material, a printing curl and an environmental curl are prevented from arising, and also, a printing registration slip is suppressed. |
