<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently remove water-soluble formaldehyde by adsorption with effective results by adding moisture to carbon and activated carbon as an adsorbent according to the siphon principle and also with the help of a fan. SOLUTION: Carbon 2 or activated carbon is used as an effective adsorbent for formaldehyde generated from an adhesive used for a building material and a wall paper. As the formaldehyde is water-soluble, it can be effectively adsorbed and removed by adding moisture to the carbon 2 or the activated carbon. More definitely, a filter container 1 which comprises a metal or a resin net containing the carbon 2 internally is provided in the device body, and the bottom part of the filter container 1 is introduced into a water-filled container 3 to complete a filter. Further, a fan 4 is arranged on the back face part of the filter so that an indoor air is circulated for suction and exhaust. In addition, the filter is formed to be of a cassette type, so that it can be replaced by a single touch and also can be repeatedly used by drying the filter after its water wash.</p> |
