PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the opening/closing work at an opening by making an opening in the upper surface of the body case of a printer and constituting a cover means for closing the opening of an ink case containing an ink pellet and a cover body formed on the side of the ink case integrally therewith. SOLUTION: A central opening 1b in the upper surface of a body case 1a elongates laterally along the scanning direction of a carriage 30 and the central opening 1b can be opened/closed by a cover means comprising an ink case 8 and a cover body 10 formed on one side thereof integrally therewith. More specifically, the left side of the central opening 1b is covered with the ink case 8 containing ink pellets of respective colors in rows while the right side thereof is covered with the cover body 10. Furthermore, an outer cover body 7 is pivoted, at the rear end 7a thereof, to the body case 1a and formed to cover the part of a case cover 9 on the upper surface of the central opening 1b. |
