The invention concerns a novel class of inhibitors of protein prenylation, in particular inhibitors of PFTase and GGTase, corresponding to the formula (I). The invention also concerns the method for preparing said compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use as medicines, in particular for treating or preventing cancers, restenosis and atherosclerosis.
