The invention concerns a method for receiving and pre-processing digital messages to be used in an operation processor (2) for which the messages are intended, each message comprising useful data and an identification label of these useful data, consisting in associating each message label capable of being received with a descriptor defining the parameters of the processing operations to be applied to the message; storing the descriptor in a memory (3, 4) at an address computed by means of the corresponding message label; and, on receiving a message, reading the received message label; computing the descriptor address obtained by means of the label; reading in the descriptor memory at the computed address, and executing on the message the processing operations indicated by the descriptor.
