<p>A spring-actuated, portable weight training device (500). The spring-actuated, portable weight training device (500) includes a first compression assembly (200) comprising a first compression spring (10), a second compression assembly (300) comprising a second compression spring (10), an extension assembly (100) for receiving the first and second compression assemblies, means for removably affixing the compression assemblies to the extension assembly, and means for compressing the first and second compression assemblies over the extension assembly, which compression assembly compression means preferably comprises either a pair of abdominal adapters (13) or a pair of forearm securing elements (14) or a pair of thigh adapters (7) pivotably attached to the compression assemblies. The extension assembly comprises an adjustable strut (11) having a plurality of openings along its length, a fixed strut (5) having one opening along its length and capable of receiving the adjustable strut, and a pushbutton (8) for removably securing the adjustable strut (11) to the fixed strut (5), in order to accommodate users of various sizes and strengths.</p> |
